Are you considering buying a home?  This can be an exciting time for you, but it can also be stressful and frustrating...and it can be a bit overwhelming.  Your home is likely the largest investment you will ever make.  It's not something you should do alone.  That's why we are here - to help guide you through the home buying process.

When most people start looking for a new home they begin by perusing the ads in newspapers or in free magazines distributed at the grocery store - such as The Homebuyers' Journal. These are great places to start as they can give you a general idea of the types of homes available and their cost. You might even get lucky and find your "dream" home. However, these sources represent a very small selection of homes available for sale.   Also many of the homes featured in those magazines are already sold by the time the publication is printed and distributed. 

You might also use the web to search for homes.  This is a great way to browse through current listings in the comfort of your home or office.  You can find listings much the same way a real estate agent does when they search through the MLS.  You can even have daily updates automatically emailed to your inbox.  We believe that this is the ideal way to begin your search .  We even offer several ways to search the local multiple listing service. We'll tell you more about that in a minute.

So if you can find all current listings via the internet, why do you even need your own agent?   Why not just call the agent who listed the house and work with them?  Well,  you can do that and a few people do - however you are now at a big disadvantage.  That agent is representing the seller - not you.   You will have no one looking out for your interests.   It is much better to have a relationship with your own 'buyer's agent' who will look out for you and will guide you through the home buying process - at no cost to you!
